Portugal has played two matches so far in 2024. In March, the team hosted Sweden for a friendly and won 5-2, then a few days later headed to Slovenia for a friendly, losing that one 2-0. That loss broke a run of 11 consecutive wins, with Portugal winning all 10 of its matches in 2023.
Finland comes into this game off a win over Estonia back in March. Its previous match before that was a 4-1 loss to Wales in a Euro qualifying playoff. That loss kept Finland out of the Euro 2024 tournament.
Portugal has won its last two meetings with Finland, but the teams haven’t played since 2011. Finland’s last win in the series was in 2002.
