France faces Luxembourg on Wednesday in an international friendly.
It’s a huge week of international friendlies all across Europe, with numerous matches going on. That includes Wednesday’s meeting between France and Luxembourg. France is among the favorites at Euro 2024, but before that tournament starts it will play two final friendlies, the first against Luxembourg.

After a stellar 2023 in which they lost just one game, the French are looking to continue that momentum right through to the championships. The country has already suffered a loss this year — a 2-0 loss to Germany in March — but will still enter Wednesday’s match with extreme confidence.
As for Luxembourg, it also will play two games this week, both against top-tier opposition. The second is against Belgium on Saturday.
While 16 of Luxembourg’s 18 previous matches against France have ended in defeat, one of the two instances in which it did not come up short came in the most recent contest, a goalless draw during 2018 World Cup qualifying to end a 14-match losing streak.
