The Crimson is tied for last place in the Ivy League standings along with Brown and Yale. The teams all have a record of 1-3 in Ivy League play and an overall record of 2-5-4. On Saturday, the team played to a 3-1 loss against Brown on the road. The Crimson’s lone goal of the game came from the foot of Kristján Gunnarsson to tie the game at one apiece, but the Bears scored two goals in the 90th minute to take the win. Lucian Wood saw 10 saves in net for the Crimson and made three saves, but the three that made it past him late in the game proved to be too much for the team to overcome.
Wednesday’s game will be the first meeting between the Skyhawks and the Crimson. While the Skyhawks are currently in position to earn a tournament berth, they could easily get bumped with a loss in one of their final three NEC games. The Crimson would likely need to win all three of their final Ivy League games to be one of the four teams to make it into postseason play.
