The Little League World Series will begin on Wednesday with four games from Williamsport.
It’s time to see the best youth baseball players from around the world when 20 teams descend upon Williamsport with the hopes of winning the Little League World Series. The championship game will take place on Aug. 25, but before that pool play begins in the United States and International brackets on Wednesday with four games scheduled. Wednesday’s slate of games will see two International bracket games and two American bracket games. In game one, which begins at 1:00 p.m. ET, Caribbean vs. Mexico takes place. The Caribbean is represented by Aruba Center Little League (Santa Cruz, Aruba) and Mexico is represented by Matamoros Little League (Tamaulipas, Mexico). The other international game is between Asia-Pacific and Canada at 5:00 p.m. ET. The Asia-Pacific region is represented by Kuei-Shan Little League (Taoyuan City, Chinese Taipei), while Canada’s team is Whalley Little League (Surrey, British Columbia).
The first American game is New England vs. West at 3:00 p.m. ET. New England is represented by Salem Little League (Salem, New Hampshire), while the West, who was the last team to qualify for Williamsport, is represented by Central East Maui Little League (Wailuku, Hawaii). The final game of the day at 7:00 p.m. ET is between the Southeast and Midwest. The Southeast region is represented by Lake Mary Little League (Lake Mary, Florida), while the Midwest is represented by Sioux Falls Little League (Sioux Falls, South Dakota).
