FC Juarez will head on the road this week in Liga MX soccer to Torreón, Mexico, to take on Santos Laguna at the Estadio Corona on Sunday night. Santos Laguna is the No. 15 team on the Liga MX table with a total of eight points which is tied with León and Querétaro. The club is one point ahead of Mazatlán FC and one point behind Pachuca as well. Santos has a 2-2-6 record through the first 10 games of the season. Throughout the month of September Santos was two games beating Necaxa and Toluca 3-2 and 2-0. It lost the other two games against Monterrey and San Luis. Santiago Muñoz and Choco Lozano lead the team in scoring with two goals each this year. Ramiro Sordo, Emmanuel Echeverría, Franco Fagundez, Francisco Villalba, and Tahiel Jiménez all have one goal each on the teams in anywhere from five to 10 appearances.

FC Juarez needs to turn its season around and do it now. It is currently the last-placed team on the table in Liga MX with a total of just seven points and a 2-1-7 record. It has one more win than Mazatlán FC despite behind tied at seven points. However, seven losses are tied for the most in the league.
Juarez picked up its second win of the season in its last game beating Puebla 3-2. Jario Torres scored in the 40th minute followed by José García in the 68th minute. Oscar Estupiñan scored the game-winning goal in the 90th with a converted penalty kick. That was Estupiñan’s second goal of the year to lead the team.
