The victory over Mazatlán snapped a two-match losing streak for los Xolos, which dated back to its 2-1 finish over León on Aug. 30. That win was also at Caliente Stadium, where Christian Rivera and Gilberto Mora found the back of the net to secure all three points for the club at home.
Club Tijuana followed that up with a 4-0 defeat against Toluca on Sep. 14, and a 1-0 loss to Pumas UNAM on Sep. 22.
Meahwhile, Pachuca is currently sitting in 13th place in the Liga MX table with nine points in 10 matches this season.
Los Tuzos have been able to secure an overall record of two wins, three draws and five losses.
In its most recent outing, Pachuca fell in a 4-2 finish against Cruz Azul on on Sep. 28 at Hidalgo Stadium.
