Valencia will head on the road in Week 15 of the Spanish La Liga season to take on Mallorca at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, on Friday night. Mallorca has the better record of the two teams, with a 6-3-5 record through 14 games this season. The club sits as the No. 6 team in La Liga with a total of 21 points on the table. It is tied with Girona and Osasuna at that 21-point mark. The club has a one-goal differential, which is just one behind Girona and four ahead of Osasuna, between the three tied teams.
Mallorca has won just one game this month losing to Alavés, 1-0, to start November and following it up with a loss to Atlético, 1-0. It’s only win came against Las Palmas, 3-2. Dani Rodríguez, Robert Navarro, and Johan Mojica scored the three goals in the team’s latest win. That was Rodríguez’s second of the season tying him for the lead on the team with Vedat Muriqi and Valery Fernández.
Valencia has just two wins this season and has a 2-4-6 record through just 12 games played. Despite being two games behind Mallorca, Valencia is the No. 18 team on the table with a total of just 10 points, tied with Espanyol. Currently, this team is in fear of relegation, even though we are just halfway through the season.
Valencia also has a negative-seven-goal differential on the table. Valencia had scheduled two league games this month. The opening game against Real Madrid was postponed and Valencia beat Betis, 4-2. César Tárrega, Diego López, and Hugo Duro are the three players responsible for the four total goals. Duro has two goals, three minutes apart. He now leads the team in scoring with those two goals.
