Leganés will travel to Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, on Saturday morning in Week 15 of the Spanish La Liga season. There, they will take on the home team Alavés at the Mendizorroza. Leganés finds itself in the middle of the La Liga table through 14 games this season. The club has a 3-5-6 record with a total of 14 points on the team. It is two points behind Rayo Vallecano and one point ahead of Getafe. It boasts a negative-six-goal differential, which is worse than either of the surrounding teams on the standings.
Leganés has played three games this month. It started out losing to Girona, 4-3. Renato Tapia, Juan Cruz, and Munir El Haddadi each scored a goal in the loss. It then picked up another win with a 1-0 defeat over Sevilla at the beginning of the month. Miguel de la Fuente scored the lone goal in the win on a converted penalty kick. Leganés lost the third game of the month in a 3-0 shutout against Real Madrid.
Alavés doesn’t find itself far behind Leganés on the table. Alavés sits tied with Getafe with 13 points, just an eight-goal differential separating the two teams. It also sits just one point ahead of Las Palmas on the table as well. It has a 4-1-9 record on the season with a goal differential of negative nine.
Alavés has played three games in November, starting out with a 1-0 win over Mallorca. Jon Guridi scored the only goal of the game in the 71st minute to give the team the win. Alavés went on to drop a 3-0 shutout against Villarreal and a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Atlético Madrid just last weekend.
