Women’s college basketball takes center stage on Thanksgiving Day with fourth-ranked South Carolina (5-1) coming off a regular season loss for the first time in 1,064 days. The Gamecocks had won 78 straight regular-season games with two losses in the NCAA Tournament sprinkled in since the 2021-2022 season. They look to bounce back against one of the best young teams in the country in 15th-ranked Iowa State (5-1). The Cyclones bounced back after their first loss of the season led by sophomore Audi Crooks best game of the season and now take on a very motivated Gamecocks team.

Crooks went for 33 points on 15-25 shooting from the field to lead the Cyclones to an 80-78 win over Drake. That game was a lot closer than the Cyclones hoped for after being outplayed all game and upset by Northern Iowa the game before.
This season Crooks is off to another great start averaging 21.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game on 56.4% shooting from the field. Fellow sophomore Addy Brown gives the Cyclones one of the best interior scoring duos in the country. She has also made a jump from her freshman season averaging 16.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
For the Gamecocks they will lean on Te-Hina Paopao, MiLaysia Fulwiley and Chloe Kitts to get back in the win column. That trio combined for just 20 points on 8-22 shooting in the loss to fifth ranked UCLA. This season they combine to average 36.5 points per game on 48.2% shooting as a trio.
