The Tigers look to stay unbeaten on the season when they visit the Mets on Monday evening
The Detroit Tigers continue their road trip when they visit the New York Mets on Monday night for the first of a three-game series. The Tigers come to town after sweeping the Chicago White Sox in three games over the weekend. The Tigers scored just 11 combined runs in the three games but got great pitching to get wins in each. They shut out the White Sox in the first game on Thursday, won in 10 innings on Saturday and then completed the sweep with a 3-2 win on Sunday. Monday they will turn to Reese Olson on the mound as they look to win a fourth straight game. Olson went 5-7 in his first season in the big leagues in 2023.

The Mets will send Sean Manaea to the mound in the opener of the three-game series. Manaea is in his first season with the Mets after pitching with the San Francisco Giants last year. Manaea worked mainly out of the bullpen last season, but did get 10 stars and went 7-6 overall with a 4.44 ERA.
The Mets are hoping to get a good outing from him as they look to get their first win of the season.
The Mets hosted the Milwaukee Brewers over the weekend, but scored just eight combined runs and lost all three games. They managed just a single run in games on Friday and Sunday and their six runs weren’t enough in the middle game.
