A top 10 showdown will take place Monday night as Auburn and Iowa State meet in the Maui Invitational.
On Monday night, No. 4 Auburn and No. 5 Iowa State will meet at the Lahaina Civic Center as the teams begin play in the Maui Invitational. Both teams come into tournament play with undefeated records; the Tigers holding a 4-0 record and the Cyclones holding a 3-0 record. The Cyclones were last on the court on last week, beating IU Indianapolis in a big 87-52 victory at home.

Against the Jaguars, Curtis Jones led the scoring efforts with 20 points and three other Cyclones joined him in double figures. Joshua Jefferson and Dishon Jackson each lead on the boards with 10 rebounds apiece, Jefferson earning a double-double by adding 16 points to the scoreboard. Jones is currently the team-leader in scoring with 15 points per game while Jackson is leading on the boards with 7.3 rebounds per game.
The Tigers’ last time on the court was last Monday with a home game against North Alabama and the team won handily in a 102-69 victory. Johni Broome had a monster game for the Auburn, scoring a game-high 30 points and a game-high 17 rebounds for a double-double. Broome is now leading the team with an average of 20 points per game and 11.3 rebounds per game. He is a force to be reckoned with both offensively and defensively. If the Cyclones can shut Broome down, they have a very strong chance of pulling off the win.
Iowa State and Auburn have met four times before and the all-time series is tied 2-2. The last meeting between these two teams dates back to 2020 and the game went in Auburn’s favor with an 80-76 win. Tune in Monday night to see who earns the tie-breaking win.
