Through the first two games, the two teams have split wins. the Phillies came away with a 5-1 win in the first game with Ranger Suarez picking up the win. It took four innings for the first run to be scored when Alec Bohm blasted a solo shot. Three innings later, Branden Marsh and Bryson Stott hit two, two-run home runs in the same inning to jolt the lead from one to five. Yesterday, the Pirates bounced back and won 5-2 with Bailey Falter picking up the win going 5.0 innings. The first run was scored with a bases-loaded walk followed by an RBI single from Connor Joe. The third run was an odd one scoring on a strikeout that hurt the catcher and rendered him unable to get the loose ball. Henry Davis and Bryan Reynolds hit the final RBIs in the game.

Marco Gonzales will get the start on the mound for Pittsburgh tonight. The left-hander from the Seattle Mariners has started two games this season already and his team has won both. He went 5.0 innings in his first start with only one earned run and two Ks. In his second start, he went 6.0 innings with two earned runs and four Ks.
On the opposite side, Philadelphia will elect to put former Detroit Tiger Spencer Turnbull on the mound to start this game.
