Morgan State (21-14) enters its weekend series with Norfolk State (4-33) with a share of second place in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, just a game back of first-place Howard. The Bears are 10-2 in the MEAC, tied with Coppin State for second place, while the Spartans, at 3-9, are in a three-way tie with Delaware State and Maryland Eastern Shore for fifth in the eight-team conference. Morgan State made its lone visit to the NCAA tournament in 2021 while Norfolk State still seeks its first appearance. The Spartans are set to host next month’s MEAC tournament but must finish in the top six in the conference to participate.
