After yesterday’s win, the Volunteers bring a five-game win streak into Sunday’s game with an overall record of 29-6 and an SEC record of 9-5. Drew Beam carried his team to victory on the mound, pitching 6.2 innings and striking out five. Although Beam gave up eight hits, strong defensive play from his team allowed the Vols to stay ahead of the Tigers. Dylan Dreiling led the team offensively, hitting a single to bring two runs home. Billy Amick brought in the final run of the game with a solo home run in the eighth to extend the team’s lead.
