UConn will host Kansas State in a mid-week non-conference game Tuesday night in men’s baseball action.
On Tuesday night, Kansas State will take a trip to the east coast for a non-conference matchup against UConn at Elliot Ballpark. The Wildcats come into Tuesday’s mid-week game with an overall record of 21-13 and a conference record of 7-8 for a spot in seventh place in the Big 12 standings. The team brings a three-game losing streak to Connecticut after being swept by Oklahoma over the weekend. The series finale was tightly contested but resulted in an 8-7 loss on the road. Chuck Ingram and Raphael Pelletier each hit home runs to combine for three RBI, but it wasn’t enough to compete with strong hitting from Oklahoma. Tyson Neighbors took the loss on the mound for the Wildcats after giving up the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth after pitching three innings.
