The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Texas for the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix today.
The sixth race on the NASCAR Cup Series calendar sends the drivers to Austin, Texas for the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix. William Byron sits on the pole for the first time this season as he attempts to be the first driver to win multiple races. Byron won the first race of the season and since then there have been four different drivers crossing the checkered flag for wins in Daniel Suarez, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell and Denny Hamlin. This season has been built on parity early on setting the stage for an exciting race today and overall 2024 season.

Last season in this race Byron also won the pole, but Tyler Reddick ended up leading the most laps and winning the race. That was Reddick’s only win of the regular season last year and second overall with a playoff win in the round of 16.
Heading into this race Larson and Martin Truex Jr. are the points leaders tied with 185 points each. Larson has one win and a fifth-place finish through five races while Truex Jr. has finished in the top 15 in all five races, getting better with every race going from 15th, 12th, seventh, seventh and second place in his five finishes.
Rounding out the top five in points are Ty Gibbs (178 points), Ryan Blaney (177 points) and Hamlin (173 points) who are all within 12 points of first place. Gibbs has five top-17 finishes while Blaney has four top-16 finishes as two of three drivers in the top five in points to start the season without a win heading into today.
