Nevada looks to stop a two-game skid when it hosts South Dakota State on Wednesday night in college basketball.
Nevada (6-3) has lost its last two games and returns home on Wednesday night to host South Dakota State (8-3), who is coming off a win at home on Saturday in college basketball. The Wolf Pack has played in the last two NCAA tournaments, while the Jackrabbits were a March Madness participant last spring as well after sweeping the Summit League regular season and tournament titles. Nevada has been as far as the Sweet Sixteen twice, most recently in 2018, while South Dakota State has never made it past the first round.

The Jackrabbits broke out to a 20-point halftime lead and didn’t allow visiting Eastern Washington to get closer than 10 in the second half en route to a 74-53 victory on Saturday. Oscar Cliff finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds and Joe Saylor tossed in 18 points. Cluff averages 18.4 points and 11.7 rebounds and Saylor knocks down 12.6 points per game.
The Wolf Pack erased a 19-point second half deficit to lead with 5:48 remaining before host Loyola Marymount took the lead for good with 2:48 remaining in a 68-64 win on Saturday night. Kobe Sanders and Brandon Love scored 13 points each in the loss. Sanders scores 16.0 points per game, while Nick Davidson averages 14.4 points and 6.9 rebounds.
Nevada is 3-2 all-time in the Series, but South Dakota State won the most recent meeting 102-75 at the Crossover Classic in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Nov. 22, 2021. Steve Alford is 102-62 in his sixth season coaching the Wolf Pack, while Eric Henderson has led the Jackrabbits to a 117-51 mark in his sixth year.
