The Georgia Elite Flag Classic continues on Saturday with the Junior All-Star Game.
The Georgia Elite Classic was first introduced in December of 2013 and has provided a stage for many of the state’s top prospects in each year since. The tournament operates as an annual all-star showcase, which has expanded over the years and is now broadcasting its 12th edition. The Class of 2015 was represented in the Junior Game of the Inaugural Georgia Elite Classic in 2013 and therefore is the earliest graduating class to come through the event. The Class of 2016 was represented in the 2014 Classic’s Junior Game the following year and the Class of 2017, Class of 2018 and Class of 2019 came through with the more recent Class of 2020-22.

Of the Georgia Elite Classic rosters that graduated (2015-2024), there are 1,554 individuals that have gone on to play at the next level. This staggering number also includes current NFL players Darius Slayton and Chuma Edoga, who were featured in the first-ever Classic as well as John Fitzpatrick and Jake Camarda, who were taken in recent NFL Drafts.
Along with the current NFL players that were a part of the first-ever Georgia Elite Classic, there are plenty more that have participated in the event over the years that have gone on to make a name for themselves.
Names such as former Roswell Hornet and member of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Xavier McKinney is a prime example of a GEC-alum continuing to stand-out at the next level.
As a 4-star recruit out of Roswell, McKinney brought in almost every offer imaginable before committing to Alabama in 2017.
