Dartmouth (2-0) ends its three-game season opening homestand on Wednesday night when it hosts UAlbany (1-1) at Leede Arena in college basketball. The Great Danes are 0-1 on the road thus far and picked up a win at home on Saturday. The Big Green haven’t been to the NCAA tournament since 1959 and their lone postseason bid since then was an appearance in the 2015 CIT. Dartmouth was 6-21 last season and coach David McLaughlin is 64-131 in his eighth season. UAlbany played in three straight NCAA tournaments from 2013-15 and its last postseason experience was in the 2017 CIT. Dwayne Killings is in his fourth year as head coach and is 35-61.

The Big Green led by as much as 15 in the second half on Saturday before holding off visiting Sacred Heart for an 81-76 victory. Cade Haskins came off the bench for 20 points, while Jackson Munro added 19 and Ryan Cornish posted 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The Great Danes got their first win on Saturday night, getting going in the second half for an 89-69 win over Division III SUNY Oneonta after leading by just two at halftime. DeMarr Langford Jr. led the attack with 18 points, Byron Joshua added 16 and Justin Neely grabbed nine boards.
UAlbany tied the all-time series 6-6 with a 73-68 win at home over Dartmouth on Dec. 2. Haskins has 52 points for the Big Green thus far, while Connor Amundson has 25 and Romeo Myrthil booked 20 points and 14 rebounds in two games. Joshua leads the Great Danes with 31 points, Langford has 24 and Sully Adewale has 21 points and 13 boards.
