Jada Walker and No. 5-seed Baylor will take the court against JuJu Watkins and No. 1-seed USC today.
The No. 5 seed in Regional 3 in Portland, Baylor, will take on the No. 1 seed in the same region, USC, at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, in the sweet sixteen of the NCAA Women’s Tournament tonight. The Trojans ended their season by taking down Stanford in the Pac-12 Tournament championship game after losing the regular season championship to it. They opened up play in the NCAA Tournament against No. 16-seed Texas A&M – Corpus Christi and won by 32 points, 87-55. Superstar JuJu Watkins led the team in the win with 23 points on 8-of-18 shooting and a team-high four assists. McKenzie Forbes also had 23 points in the win as well. Moving onto the second round, No. 1 USC took on No. 8-seed Kansas and took them down by 18 points, 73-55. Watkins had the only double-double of the team leading them in scoring with 28 points and 11 rebounds with five assists. Forbes again had 20 points with three rebounds and three assists.

The No. 5-seed Baylor will be tasked with this tough team. They lost seven games this season which included a loss to Iowa State in the quarterfinal of the Big 12 Championship. They came into the tournament facing off against No. 12-seed Vanderbilt and took them down 80-63 by 17 points. Bella Fontleroy led the team with 19 points and 11 rebounds in the win.
Just two days later, they took on No. 4-seed Virginia Tech from the ACC and won 75-72 on the back of 28 points from Jada Walker who also had a team-high three assists. Sarah Andrews also had 16 points and three rebounds with three assists in the win.
