The Miami Open continues on Monday with third-round action for the ATP and Round of 16 play for the WTA.
The day gets started at the 2024 Miami Open with the women’s draw entering the Round of 16 and the men’s draw wrapping up the third round. To get the day started eighth-seeded Maria Sakkari takes on 22nd-seeded Anna Kalinskaya for the opportunity to play in the quarterfinals in the Grandstand. Overall there are eight matches on the schedule today in the Round of 16 for the women with five top 10 seeds in action. For the men’s singles draw there are also eight matches on the schedule with top-seeded Carlos Alcaraz in action in the main event later in the evening.

Alcaraz faces off with Gael Monfils while fourth-seeded Alexander Zverev, eighth-seeded Hubert Hurkacz and ninth-seeded Alex de Minaur are the other top 10 seeds in action throughout the day today.
There are two matches to get the day started in the men’s draw in 18th-seeded Karen Khachanov vs. 20th-seeded Francisco Cerundolo and Alexei Popyrin vs. Fabian Marozsan. Those two matches get the morning started for the men’s draw with every other match on the schedule showcasing at least one ranked player in the field. The winners today will fill out the round of 16 for the men’s singles draw.
Throughout the day today top-seeded Iga Swiatek, third-seeded Coco Gauff, fourth-seeded Elina Rybakina, fifth-seeded Jessica Pegula and eight other ranked players will look to punch their tickets to the quarterfinals of the 2024 Miami Open with the second Grand Slam of the year just two months away in Roland Garros.
