The final quarterfinal in the Mountain West Tournament is between the Colorado State Rams and Fresno State Bulldogs on Monday.
The fourth and final spot in the semifinals will be filled by either third-seeded Colorado State (22-9) or sixth-seeded Fresno State (18-14) in the Mountain West Tournament when they play each other on Monday. This is just the second matchup of the season between the teams, with the Rams routing the Bulldogs in the first. The win came as a part of a five-game winning streak for the Rams. In that game the Rams stymied the Bulldogs offense through three periods, allowing no more than nine points in each individual period and 25 points total. That allowed the Rams to build an insurmountable 21-point lead heading into the final period.
