Defending champion Florida Panthers face the New Jersey Devils for the second time in three days as division leaders face off.
After their seven-game winning streak was snapped in a 4-1 home loss to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday, the defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers get a chance to enact revenge on Thursday night as the Eastern Conference foes face off for the second time in 48 hours. Since a four-game losing skid in mid-October, the Devils have been red-hot winning seven of their last nine games propelling New Jersey to the top of the Metropolitan Division standings and coming into Thursday with the most points in the Eastern Conference. New Jersey has the best road record in the East and is one of only three teams in the league with seven wins on away ice.

The Panthers duo of centers Sam Bennett and Sam Reinhart have combined for 39 points in the first 16 games of the season with Reinhart tied for the league lead with 12 goals. Reinhart, the number two overall selection in the 2014 NHL Draft, was traded to Florida after seven season in Buffalo, and has produced career-highs in points each of the last two seasons.
With two assists in Tuesday’s win over Florida, Devils winger Jesper Bratt moved into a tie for seventh in the NHL with his team-leading 16 assists marking his fifth multi-point game of the season and third of November.
The road team has won seven of the last eight games in this series including each of the last three with only one game in that span decided by less than two goals.
