Seton LaSalle (11-0) hasn’t played in a WPIAL Class 2A championship game since winning the title in 2004. On Saturday at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, the Rebels look to end a long drought when they take on South Park (11-1). The Eagles haven’t won the championship since 2005 and neither program has been back in the title game since its last time hoisting the trophy. South Park comes in with a 10-game winning streak and scored a dominant win last week. Seton LaSalle’s two-touchdown victory last week was its smallest margin of victory since Aug. 30.

The Rebels led 27-0 at halftime before settling for a 27-13 victory over Steel Valley on Nov. 15. Running back Logan King has run for 342 yards and five touchdowns in two playoff games while quarterback Michael Pastirik has thrown for 1,948 yards this season, with Khalil Taylor accounting for 932 of those.
The Eagles took care of business with a 28-7 win over Ellwood City on Nov. 15, putting the game away with a pair of third-quarter touchdowns. Quarterback Robert Lenzi has 610 passing yards to go with 864 yards on the ground this season and Eric Doerue has powered the run game in the postseason with 331 yards and four touchdowns in the two wins so far.
Defensively, Seton LaSalle allows just 10.3 points per game while South Park surrenders 11.6. The Rebels have topped the 40-point mark in seven games and posted two shutouts while the Eagles only have three games of 40 or more points to go with three blankings defensively.
