    Reed will head on the road this week in high school football to take on Spanish Springs in Sparks, Nevada, on Friday night. The Raiders of Reed come into this week with a 6-2 record overall and a 3-1 record against league teams. They are the No. 3 team in their league and the No. 7 ranked team in the state of Nevada. They opened up their season with two straight wins on the road at Churchill County and at home against Del Pro. They lost their first game of the season in Week 3 against Twelve Bridges by just three points. They got back to winning in the next game beating Hug and McQueen on the road in back-to-back weeks followed by Reno at home 52-20 to go 2-0 in league play. They lost their first league game against Bishop Manogue 42-35 and followed it up with a 35-16 win over Douglas last week to stand 3-1 in league play. This team is led under the center by Nissan Bajwa. The senior quarterback has 1,225 yards and 16 touchdowns this season without an interception thrown.

    The Cougars of Spanish Springs are 6-3 overall this season and 3-1 against teams in the same league. They are the No. 10 ranked team in the state. They opened up the season with two losses at home against Simi Valley 33-13 and on the road at Shadow Ridge 28-20. They won three straight non-league games after that beating Clayton Valley Charter, Wooster, and Pleasant Valley.

    They started league play against Bishop Manogue, losing 28-7, before winning three straight heading into this week. They beat Douglas and Reno on the road and most recently McQueen at home last week. Junior quarterback Tyson McNeil has 1,910 yards and 16 touchdowns this season with just two interceptions leading the team.
