The Lake Highlands Wildcats look to extend their winning streak against Dallas Jesuit in Texas high school football.
Lake Highlands (3-2) has the opportunity to win its third straight game in Texas high school football at home today. They host Dallas Jesuit (2-3), who is coming off a loss dropping the team under .500 again this season. The Wildcats have seemed to rebound after a 1-2 start to the season winning their last two games and building some momentum at the midway point in the season. Three of their final five games are at home starting today. This season the Wildcats have played better at home winning two of three games with a friendly crowd rooting for them. Another win today would give the Wildcats their longest winning streak of the season. Last season around this same point in the season the Wildcats had a six-match winning streak leading into the playoffs.

Last season when the teams met the Wildcats took care of business in a 28-14 win. That game came just before the six-game winning streak for the Wildcats and woke up the Rangers who went on to win six of their last eight games between the regular season and playoffs.
This season the Rangers are off to a slower start trading losses and wins since the season opener. They are allowing 20.0 points per game in wins, but in losses, the defense falls off the rails allowing 46.3 points per game to opponents.
For the Wildcats they have outscored opponents 86-49 in their last two wins including a 31-0 shutout of MacArthur in their last game. Playing like that against a state and conference rival could give the Wildcats a third straight win and more momentum this season.
