The semifinals of the NCAA Championships tee off today with more match-play golf for the final four teams.
The final four teams are set for the semifinals of the 2022 NCAA Championships in men’s golf. The tournament started with 30 of the best teams in the country in Scottsdale, Arizona, then paired down to 15, then eight and now four as the semifinals will determine who will make it to the championship between No. 6 Pepperdine, No. 7 Arizona State, No. 1 Vanderbilt and No. 4 Texas today.

Vanderbilt’s Gordon Sargent took home the men’s individual championship in a four-way playoff ahead of the team semifinals today.
The quarterfinals featured Oklahoma vs. Arizona State, North Carolina vs. Pepperdine, Vanderbilt vs. Texas Tech and Texas vs. Oklahoma State to set up the semifinals today.
The Waves (3-2-0) were the first team to advance over the Tar Heels after the first four matches ended with a 2-2 tie, Derek Hitchner was able to pull out a win in their fifth match over Ryan Gerard.
It was the same for the Sun Devils (3-2-0) who advanced on a birdie putt on 18 from Cameron Sisk to knock off the No. 1 team in the tournament, the Sooners.
The Commodores (3-2-0) were able to take care of business with three wins in their first four matches, making the final match unnecessary.
It came down to Jonas Baumgartner and Mason Nome in the final match, with the Longhorns advancing thanks to Nome’s final strokes on the 18th hole.
Now the Commodores take on the Longhorns and the Waves take on the Sun Devils for the opportunity to play in the finals.
