Olympic Lyonnais will head on the road this week in Ligue 1 soccer to take on Toulouse at Stadium de Toulouse in France. It sits tied with Montpellier and one point ahead of Auxerre and Saint-Etienne. It is also one point behind Toulouse. In the first two games of this month, Lyon drew with Lens 0-0 and lost to Marseille 3-2. The team’s last win came at the end of August beating Strasbourg 4-3 with goals from Corentin Tolisso, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, and two from Gift Orban. That was Orban’s first two goals of the season putting him on top of the club in scoring. There are four other players with one goal each including Duje Caleta-Car and Rayan Cherki in addition to the other two mentioned above.

Toulouse is the No. 13 team on the table with a total of five points and a 1-2-2 record. It has a negative-two-goal differential sitting one point behind Strasbourg, Brest, and Le Havre FC. As mentioned, it is also one point ahead of Lyon and Montpellier. Toulouse beat Le Havre 2-0 before losing 2-0 against Brest heading into this game.
In that win, Shavy Babicka and Yan Gboho were the two goal scorers. Babicka is now up to three goals this season for the team while Gboho is the only other goal scorer on the team in five games.
