One of the newer teams in Ligue 1, AS Saint-Étienne, is currently the No. 17 team on the table with just three points in five games. It has a 1-0-4 record and a negative-14-goal differential which is the worst in the league. The team’s lone win came earlier this month against Lille 1-0 with a goal from Mathieu Cafaro the difference-maker.
In fact, that goal from Cafaro is the only goal that the team has scored this season. It was shutout by Nice 8-0, Brest 4-0, Le Havre FC 2-0, and Monaco 1-0. It will be looking to get shots in the net here today and maybe pick up the team’s second win of the season if not a draw.
