Ligue 1 struggler Montpellier is chasing its first win in almost two months as Brest come to town on Sunday. Watch free on Fubo.
Montpellier’s golden anniversary season is far from going to plan as the club finds itself with just four points from a potential 30 as Brest visits the Stade de la Mosson-Mondial on Sunday. La Paillade is celebrating its 50th year in the club’s current guise, having been reborn in 1974 following a merger – though there has been very little cause for fireworks so far this season. The same can’t be said for Brest, however, as Eric Roy continues to lead a valiant charge across multiple fronts, particularly in the Champions League where Brest extended its undefeated record in midweek.

Roy & Co have been on a remarkable run of late but came undone against their visitors, where Evann Guessand came up with the only goal of the game for Les Aiglons:
That result brought an end to Brest’s run of five games without a loss in all competitions, not to mention dropping them down to 11th in Ligue 1.
Montpellier can only dream of such heights at present, however, with the club currently bottom of the table and six points adrift of safety.
Jean-Louis Gasset has only been in charge of Montpellier for two games but has failed to spark any kind of resurgence thus far, losing both fixtures with his side failing to score even once.
A dramatic turnaround is required soon if La Paillade is to have any chance of top-flight survival, and Brest may not be the easiest foe to expect big things at present.
