Texas Tech will take the field at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium against Arkansas in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Friday.
Texas Tech will travel to Memphis, Tennessee during bowl week in college football. The Red Raiders will take on Arkansas at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Friday night. The Red Raiders finished 8-4 overall this season and 6-3 against teams in the Big 12. They tied in the conference with TCU and Baylor, finishing one game behind the four Top 25 ranked teams that are 7-2, including conference-winning Arizona State, BYU, Iowa State. and Colorado.
They ended their season with a 52-15 win at home over West Virginia. Behren Morton finished that game with 359 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Tahj Brooks dominated on the ground with 188 yards on 23 carries and three touchdowns. This is a highly talented group that should come away with a win in this bowl game.
However, the Razorbacks are going to try to prove everyone wrong. They finished their season with an even .500 record at 6-6 this season. They also finished 3-5 against teams in the SEC, one game behind Florida, tied with Vanderbilt, and one game ahead of Oklahoma and Auburn.
After defeating Louisiana Tech 35-14 at home, they lost their season-clinching game against No. 21 Missouri by seven points. Taylen Green finished with 229 yards through the air in the loss. He also had 53 yards on the ground. Ja’Quinden Jackson finished with 18 carries for 87 yards and three touchdowns.
