3 players share the lead entering Sunday’s 3rd round at Le Golf National in suburban Paris
Thomas Detry fired a bogey-free 63 on Friday at Le Golf National in the Parisian suburb of Guyancourt, leaping up the leaderboard to take a share of first place heading into Saturday’s third round of the FedEx Open de France. Detry’s eight-under-par effort leaves him tied with Dan Bradbury and first-round co-leader Jesper Svensson at nine-under for the tournament, one shot clear of Thorbjørn Olesen, Paul Waring, Fabrizio Zanotti, Simon Forsström and Rasmus Højgaard. One player was left on the course when Round 2 play was suspended due to darkness, with the projected cut line at one-under-par.

Matthew Jordan and Justin Rose share ninth place at seven-under-par, two shots back. Players are competing for the $552,500 winner’s share of the $3.25 million purse as well as the 835 points in the Race to Dubai rankings. Players are still fighting to finish in the top 70 of the standings to earn a playoff spot, while a finish of 110th or better guarantees a tour card for 2025.
For Detry, his big second round is a bit of a deja vu. He also shot a second-round 63 at the Olympics on the same golf course back in August. Svensson held the lead by himself before closing with a bogey at No. 9, his final hole of the day, to fall back to the field.
Bradbury’s 66 came with a late run starting with an eagle at No. 14 followed by back-to-back birdies on the 15th and 16th.
