Yannik Paul, Fabrizio Zanotti, Adrien Saddier and Nicolai Højgaard share fourth place with Grinberg, with nine players two shots off the lead at four-under-par 67. The tournament has been played annually at Le Golf National in Paris’ southwestern suburbs since 2002.
The top-ranked player in the Race to Dubai rankings in the field is No. 2 Thriston Lawrence, who struggled to a three-over-par 74 and is tied for 97th place. Ryo Hisatsune, who won the event last year, is not in the field after earning PGA Tour status for 2024. Billy Horschel, currently third in the standings, is tied for 73rd after an opening-round 72.
Grinberg made the cut at the 2022 Soudal Open on Rinkven International Golf Course in Antwerp, Belgium, his home course, at the age of 14.
