Jon Rahm returns to Europe looking for a record fourth Open de España title as players tee off in Madrid on Thursday.
Jon Rahm, former world No. 1 and the reigning Masters champion, returns to his native Spain on Thursday, vying for his record fourth Open de España championship. Rahm won in 2018-19 and again in 2022 and shares the modern record of three wins with Spanish legend Seve Ballesteros (1981, 1985 and 1995). Rahm tied for ninth place last year when France’s Matthieu Pavon rolled to a four-shot victory over Zander Lombard at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid. The tournament has been part of the DP World Tour schedule since the tour launched in 1972 and dates to 1912.
