The CW is set to air a brand-new hour of WWE NXT on Tuesday night.
WWE NXT hits the Allstate Arena in Chicago for another night of action and its debut on The CW on Tuesday, with several matchups and plot lines to look forward to. The event will showcase the next generation of WWE superstars, marking a new era for NXT as it transitions to its new home on The CW. Tank Ledger, who is one of the rising stars in NXT, highlighted the significance of the debut being in Chicago. “Chicago is often called the second city, a city of underdogs,” Ledger said. “When you look at NXT, it’s a bunch of hungry young men and women with something to prove, and we’re going to show it October 1st on the CW.”

Another standout NXT competitor, Lola Vice, added that “Chicago will be feeling the Latina heat. A lot of stars from the main roster are coming down to help us promote this new premiere, and it’s going to be huge.”
One of those stars is former world champion CM Punk. He’ll be in the middle of the show’s main event serving as the special guest referee for Ethan Page and Trick Williams’ NXT Championship battle.
The next generation of WWE stars are groomed in a program that originated as a hybrid live event/reality show featuring popular WWE superstars mentoring rookies before it transitioned into a more traditional professional wrestling program.
