FOX is bringing an all-new adult cartoon to its network with Sunday’s premiere of Universal Basic Guys.
In a world where machines are beginning to replace humans on assembly lines the same rings true in FOX’s new animated series called Universal Basic Guys premiering on Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET. Funny guy Fred Armisen voices David and Adam Malamut voices brothers Mark and Hank Hoagies. The two brothers are in a predicament when they suddenly find themselves unemployed when the Glantontown Hot Dog factory switches over to automated machinery.
They are able to find some luck, however, because they will be a part of a new Universal Basic Income program in which they are given $3000 per month. From creators and real-life brothers Adam Malamut and Craig Malamut, the two have written a hilarious show that is sure to be relatable as our world is very quickly facing the same elimination of jobs to machines.

In the first episode titled “Pet Projects,” Mark finds himself in a bit of a pickle. When a doctor shows kindness to his wife Tammy (Talia Genevieve), he decides to show some chivalry and buy her a pet chimpanzee. The gesture backfires, however, because the new pet rips off his face. Brother Hank is able to bond with the chimp through its Bluetooth and creates a relationship with the animal that Mark had hoped he would form. David (Armisen) also finds himself in a pet-related incident involving a pet snake, but his dog saves him and Mernft Man.
With the two men now unemployed, they are using their free time and free money to find purpose in a world where they are no longer needed. Tune in Sunday night for this new comedy that will find you laughing along with the some very relatable content.
