Meet the Browns was one of Perry’s first adventures into television. The show ran five seasons, 140 episodes and created characters that people cared about leading to the creation of Assisted Living to reprise those roles.
David and Tamela Mann play the characters Mr. Brown and Cora, who when the show began came in at just the right time to help invest in an elderly care center with Na’im Lynn’s character Jeremy.
The show also features J. Anthony Brown as Vinny, Courtney Nichole as Leah, Tayler Buck as Sandra, Alex Henderson as Phillip, Damien Leake as Reginald June, Chet Anekwe as Efe Omowafe, Alretha Thomas as Anastasia Devereaux along with a variety of recurring characters. This episode marks the halfway point in the season with much more to come in season five of Tyler Perry’s Assisted Living.
