The longest-running episodic television show ever is back with the 36th season of The Simpsons, which premieres on Sunday.
Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and the rest of the Springfield community are back for season 36 of The Simpsons with the premiere on Sunday. The Simpsons is the longest running animated show of all-time, debuting in December 1989 and scheduled to run into the spring of 2025. This season starts off with the episode “Bart’s Birthday” and will also feature another entry in the “Treehouse of Horror.” Expected guest stars this season include Andy Serkis, Conan O’Brien, Danny DeVito, David Spade, John Cena, Kaley Cuoco, Kevin Farley, Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson and Tom Hanks. How will the show continue to parody real-life and what wild truths will the show unexpectedly predict in the not to distant future?

After episode one this season the second episode is titled “The Yellow Lotus.” Other announced episode titles, but no dates attached are “Desperately Seeking Lisa,” “Shoddy Heart,” “Simpsons Wicked This Way Comes,” “O C’mon All Ye Faithful,” “The Past and the Furious” and “Yellow Planet.”
