The 47th season of Survivor premieres on Wednesday night on CBS.
The 47th season of one of CBS’s longest running reality competition shows will premiere on Wednesday night. SurvivorĀ places a group of people in an isolated location typically a jungle or wooded area where they must provide food and shelter for themselves. The contestants compete in challenges which tests the contestants’ physical abilities like running and swimming or their mental abilities like puzzles and endurance challenges for rewards andĀ immunityĀ from elimination. They are eliminated from the game by being voted out by their fellow contestants episode by episode until only two or three remain. After being paired down to just a few, the players who were eliminated vote for the winner. That winner is awarded the grand prize ofĀ a million dollars. This season will return to Fiji and be hosted by long-time leader Jeff Probst.
