On Monday night, Nickelodeon will premiere an all-new special called Spongebob’s Snow Yellow and the Seven Jellies. A square yellow sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants lives in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary, in the city of Bikini Bottom on the floor of the Pacific Ocean. He works as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab and during his time off, SpongeBob has a knack for attracting trouble with his starfish best friend, Patrick. Arrogant octopus Squidward Tentacles, SpongeBob’s neighbor, dislikes SpongeBob because of his childlike behavior. Spongebob and Patrick are constantly getting themselves in trouble and the show attracts laughs, but its typically at the best friends’ expense.

In Monday night’s special, “Snow Yellow” is deemed the squarest of them all, the evil Queen Karen seeks to claim the title for herself by any means necessary. For those new to the show, this will be the perfect episode to dip your toes in the shallow end.
