The final season of Blue Bloods will premiere on Friday night at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
Blue Bloods fans will not know whether to rejoice for its return on Friday night, or mourn the fact that season 14 will be the final season of the beloved show. In this law enforcement drama, Tom Selleck stars as Frank Reagan, the New York Police Commissioner, and patriarch of the Reagan clan, a multigenerational family of cops. Frank’s oldest son is Danny, played by Donny Wahlberg, is a seasoned detective and Iraqi War veteran who occasionally uses dubious tactics to solve cases. Daughter Erin (Bridget Moynahan), the lone female, is an assistant district attorney. Fresh out of Harvard Law, Jamie (Will Estes) is the youngest member and “golden boy” of the family. Jamie gave up a lucrative future in law to continue the family’s tradition in police work, and is asked to participate in a secretive investigation that even his father does not know about.

Season 13 finished off with Danny and Baez (Marisa Ramirez) partnering up with Danny’s old partner to find a copycat killer who had been emulating a criminal’s murders from previous cases. Frank and Mayor Chase also had to battle how best to handle the rising homeless population that was beginning to be a very visible problem in the city.
This final season will begin with an episode called “Life Sentence.” The Reagans’ professional lives converge when an allegation of jury tampering against Erin intertwines with Danny and Baez’s homicide case. Frank clashes with his friend and confidant Archbishop Kearns over the death penalty.
Tune in on Friday night each week to watch the Reagans in their final season at the helm of law enforcement and justice in New York City.
