Nebraska looks to build on its biggest win of the season against South Dakota on Wednesday in college basketball.
After losing its first game of the season, Nebraska (4-1) bounced back with its biggest win of the season. The Cornhuskers are coming off a huge win over No. 14 Creighton and look to build on that momentum against South Dakota (6-2) on Wednesday. The Cornhuskers used a great start to pull off the upset against the Bluejays, building a 14-point lead at the half. Juwan Gary and Brice Williams led the way with 15 points each, while Conner Essegian came off the bench for 15 points. That was the Cornhuskers first game and first win against a ranked opponent this season. Now with just four games left in non-conference play the Cornhuskers have the opportunity to continue building momentum this season.

Williams has continued to grow his game after transferring to the Cornhuskers two years ago. This season he is averaging 18.2 points per game, fueled by his ability to get to the free throw line. He is shooting 92.9 percent from the line on 8.4 attempts per game.
As a team the Cornhuskers have five players averaging double-figures, led by Williams. Also averaging double figures this season are senior Gary (11.6 points per game), junior Essegian (10.4 points per game), senior Rollie Worster (10.4 points per game) and sophomore Berke Buyuktuncel (10.2 points per game).
For the Coyotes this season the offense is built around balance and veteran leadership. They are scoring 84.7 points per game as a team, led by sophomore Isaac Bruns with 12.7 points per game, doubling his averages year-over-year from his freshman season to his sophomore season.
