Trinbago will lean on Nicholas Pooran, one of the best players in the league, to get back in the win column today. Last season Pooran was in the conversation for player of the year, finishing fourth in runs (291) and with a high score of 102, one of the best marks in the Caribbean Premier League.
The majority of this Trinbago roster are fresh faces with seven of the players on the roster signed this year. Captain Kieron Pollard will try to rally this team to get back into the win column alongside Pooran with his elite scoring ability.
For St. Lucia, the team is led by captain Faf du Plessis and a roster of primarily right-handers also looking to get back on track. Four of the players on the roster are currently overseas, not with the team, putting St. Lucia at the disadvantage today.
