The Nawabs are captained by Haris Ali, with Sarmad Haeed the vice captain, while the DHA side captain is Khurram Shahzad, with Taimoor Mirza serving as vice captain for the 16-day league schedule. Eight teams are playing a single round-robin, with the top four finishers advancing to the semifinals.

North lost to defending champion Clifton Popular on Tuesday by nine wickets, dropping a 74/5 and 44/1 to 46/8 and 66/4 decision. Yahya Khan led the Nawabs with 23 runs while all of Irfan Nazir’s 22 runs came in the second innings. Sehram Kaka took three wickets in the match. Zain Lefti leads the squad with 56 runs through two matches while M Jawad Siddiqui has taken six wickets thus far.
The Dabangs also played their last match on Tuesday, losing by 10 wickets to the Malir Malangs 90/5 and 66/0 to 55/9 and 100/4. Saqib Lefti scored 37 runs, 36 in the second inning, while Mirza scored 29 of his 30 in the second frame. Rana Mohsin took a pair of wickets in the loss. Mirza’s 114 runs lead the squad while M Hasnain’s four wickets is tops among the bowlers.
The Karachi Tape Ball Premier League is in its fourth season, organized by the Pakistan Tape-Ball Foundation. Tape-ball cricket is a variation typically played in urban areas and characterized by the use of a tennis ball wrapped in electrical tape rather than a standard cricket ball.
