The best collegiate cross country runners in the country will compete for a national title on Saturday in Wisconsin.
On Saturday morning, Wisconsin will host the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championships as the best division I runners race for a national title at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course. While the runners were probably hoping for some mild weather with a solid service, Mother Nature had other plans as Wisconsin experienced snowfall on Thursday which will add to the already difficult course.
Qualifiers for Saturday’s event were chosen from the nine regional championship races with the top two teams automatically qualifying. Thirteen additional teams were selected at-large. Additionally, there were 38 individuals selected to participate. The first four regional finishers who qualified as an individual or at-large team have a chance to race in the finals.
