Oregon and Stanford will meet Saturday in their penultimate regular season game ahead of postseason play.
On Saturday evening, Oregon will take on No. 5 Stanford for the second day in a row as the teams finish regular season play in preparation for the Pac-12 tournament which begins on Wednesday. The Ducks bring an overall record of 27-17 and a conference record of 12-9 into Saturday’s contest which puts them in fourth place in the Pac-12 standings. On Friday night, the teams opened the series and Oregon fell in a tough 7-3 loss. Katie Flannery opened up the scoring with a solo shot in the second followed by an RBI single from Paige Sinicki and an RBI from Emma Kauf after she was hit by a pitch. The scoring stopped there, however, and Stanford scored seven unanswered runs to earn the win. Morgan Scott dropped to 9-7 on the season in the circle after giving up five earned runs in 2.2 innings of work.

The Cardinal is currently in second place in the Pac-12 standings with a conference record of 16-6 and an overall record of 41-11. The team has now won three games straight after last night’s 7-3 victory in front of just over 1,000 fans. In the bottom of the second inning, River Mahler hit a two-run double and Kaitlyn Lim followed with an RBI single to tie the game up. Aly Kaneshiro and Jade Berry brought solo homers to the bottom of the third inning to take the lead and Taryn Kern finished off the scoring for Stanford with a two-run shot to bring home Lim. Regan Krause earned her 19th win of the year after pitching five innings and striking out two batters while only giving up four hits.
