No. 2 ranked Oklahoma hosts the NCAA Norman Super Regional this weekend, welcoming Florida State to Love’s Field on Thursday in a rematch of the 2023 and 2021 WCWS Championship Series.
It should be quite the showdown in Norman in the Super Regional between Florida State and Oklahoma on Thursday. It is a rematch of the 2023 and 2021 WCWS Championship Series. Oklahoma swept Florida State 5-0 and 3-1 in the 2023 WCWS Championship Series just two seasons after taking two-of-three games to win the 2021 NCAA Championship.
The super regional begins May 23 at 7 p.m. ET, with Friday’s game two set for a 7 p.m. start. Game three is scheduled for Saturday with a to-be-determined start time.

No. 15 seed Florida State enters the Norman Super Regional 46-14 on the season following a 3-0 effort at the Tallahassee Regional. The Seminoles defeated Chattanooga (3-2), UCF (5-1) and Auburn (10-4) to advance to Norman. FSU finished runner-up in the ACC Tournament, dropping the championship game 6-3 to Duke.
NFCA Freshman of the Year candidate Jaysoni Beachum leads Florida State at the plate, batting .425 with 15 home runs and 65 RBIs. The Seminoles pack plenty of punch at the plate as Beachum is protected by Michaela Edenfield (.389, 15 HR, 46 RBIs), Kalei Harding (.337, 14 HR, 64 RBIs) and Isa Torres (.360, 9 HR, 57 RBIs).
Oklahoma continues its quest for a fourth consecutive NCAA title this weekend. The Sooners have appeared in seven straight Women’s College World Series and would clinch their 17th appearance at the WCWS by advancing this weekend.
