Stanford looks to clinch a series win over Arizona State on Saturday evening when the two teams play the middle game of their three-game set. The Cardinal took the opener on Friday night 4-0 and they have now won three in a row. The win pushed their record to 9-1 in the Pac-12 and kept them in first place in the conference standings. They have already picked up sweeps against Cal and Utah and are looking to do the same against the Sun Devils this weekend. Friday was their third shutout in five games and Saturday they will look to get another great pitching performance.

The Sun Devils, though, are looking to even the series and pick up a big upset over the Cardinal.
The Sun Devils have not been good in the Pac-12 so far as they have lost eight of their first 10 games to start their conference schedule.
They have dropped two of three to both Washington and Oregon State and then were swept by Oregon last weekend.
Saturday’s game is the seventh in an eight-game road trip for the Sun Devils and they have really struggled away from home. They come into the game just 2-7 in true road games this season.
