The Wolverines will look to extend their win streak as they have won their last three contests to improve to 5-0-1 overall and 1-0 in Big Ten play. The team opened conference play against Penn State and earned a 2-1 victory in front of a home crowd of 1300 on Friday night. Bryce Blevins opened the scoring for Michigan with a goal in the 33rd minute of play with assists by Beto Soto and Pierre Lurot. Penn State tied the game up shortly after halftime, but Blevins struck again just three minutes later by converting a penalty kick to secure the win for his team. Isaiah Goldson saw nine shots in net for the Wolverines, but did not actually make any saves in the match.
Monday’s game will be the first meeting between these two teams since 2019 and just the third meeting overall. The Huskies have beaten the Wolverines both times with the last game resulting in a narrow 1-0 victory. Tune in Monday to see if Washington can hand Michigan its first loss of the 2024 season.
