Delaware goes for its second straight upset when it takes on Cornell in the third quarterfinal of the NCAA lacrosse tournament on Sunday.
Delaware pulled off the biggest upset of the NCAA men’s lacrosse tournament in the second round when it knocked off No. 2 Georgetown 10-9.

The Blue Hens trailed 8-6 heading into the last quarter but outscored the Hoyas 4-1 in the final frame to pull off the huge upset on the road.
The Blue Hens also trailed 9-7 late but got three goals in the last 3:29 to pull off the upset. The game-winner came with just eight seconds left when JP Ward got it by the goaltender.
Sunday, they will now try and get another upset when they take on No. 7 Cornell who got by Ohio State in the second round.
The Big Red shrugged off a slow start to pull away and get the easy win. They were shut out in the first quarter and trailed 4-0, but went into halftime down just 5-4 and then dominated the second half to get the 15-8 win.
Cornell now will look to avoid being another upset victim to the streaking Blue Hens and earn a berth into the semifinals next week.
